An Idea is Born
My father-in-law, Dave Runnion, was a man who enjoyed his family, friends, and his passion for woodworking. Dave starting making furniture for A.K. Nahas Furniture Galleries in 2008. Dave believed in nothing but a solid wood product. His craftsmanship was superior, and he was devoted to making each piece a work of art to last for years.
In December of 2012, Dave passed unexpectedly. The world lost a great man in many ways. Our inspiration for Runnion's Originals, LLC comes from the passion and dedication that Dave started years ago. We want to provide our customers with solid wood handcrafted furniture made in the USA and by local craftsman that will last for years... just like Dave. He was truly an Original!
Our Family
Almost every member of our family has been involved in the furniture industry some how some way. My sister Patty, her husband Dan, and their son Adam are owners of A.K. Nahas. Serving the Tri-State area with appliances, furniture, & bedding for many years.
Our daughters Jessica & Marilee both worked at A.K. Nahas as teenagers. Jessica's teenage daughter, Hannah has also helped out in the store. Jessica has helped manage marketing, social media and web design for Runnion's Originals. Our son-in-law, Chad, picks up, delivers and crafts some of our merchandise. Our son Brandon has worked in furniture/appliance sales for several years, and his wife Paige has also worked sales in the store and makes our delicious no-bake cookies. My brother-in-law Luke Runnion worked for A.K. Nahas. And last, but not least, my wonderful husband Rob is the most supportive and encouraging person I know. He does whatever needs done. This is certainly a family business.

The Owner
Rebecca Runnion is the owner of Runnion's Originals. First and foremost, she is a dedicated wife and fantastic mother and grandmother. Becky has worked in the furniture business for nearly 30 years. Her hard work, passion and dedication led her to start her own business in September 2016. Within the first year of opening Runnion's Originals, Becky was able to exceed even her own expectations and open a second location. In the Summer of 2019, she decided to close the original locations and come home to serve her community in East Palestine, Ohio. She now has one lovely shop on St. Rt 14 in East Palestine, OH.
